  This company is horrible. I pray that we never have another issue with repairs on our home. We had to overnight a claims check to them to be endorsed it was like a hostage negotiation to get it back. Talked to several different people and they all gave us different information. One poor excuse for a customer service rep told me that I was unauthorized to get information on the account and then told us that she wouldn't transfer us to a supervisor and that we had to wait one business day to hear back from one. Another, Kelsey Nichols, the day before gave me every piece of information that I asked and didn't ask for. Called today and the information I was given was different from all the other info. As I was on the phone with Melissa (who was helpful, apologetic and deserves her job) my husband texts with even more information that was different than what I was being told at the very moment his text came though. We have been without running water for 22 days due to a slab leak. We have 2 children under 10, a grieving mother and a dog living with us. It has been a nightmare. We pay our mortgage every month, NEVER late and this is the treatment that we get. A bunch of rude, uninformed and heartless people giving out incorrect information. Assurant needs to re-evaluate their employee line up and their customer service training. I hope we never have to do business with them again. US Bank also needs to re-evaluate their relationship with Assurant.
